Billows or Dancing Silks are a worship and / or praise tool. The billow is a long piece of fabric made from silk or another type of lightweight fabric such as silk essence.
Our standard billow is approximately 12ft. long and 45 inches wide.
Definition: (Hebrew) gal, a heap, a spring, a wave, to roll, to commit, to flow down, to be rolled, to roll oneself, a breaker or wave, to burst forth.
As we can see, almost every movement that we make with the billows can cause activation in the prophetic arena. This worship tool is a fertile field of biblical symbolism. As we use the billows, our intent is to create a shift in the atmosphere in preparation for God’s heavenly kingdom to come to earth thus creating favorable conditions for a supernatural birthing of our symbolic movements.
Psalm 42:7 “Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me”.
The deep in us is calling out to the deep in God. We want a new baptism (birth) completely submerged, yes even overwhelmed in His divine love and purpose for our lives.
Jonah 2:3, 4 AMP "For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me; all Your waves and Your billows passed over me. Then I said, I have been cast out of Your presence and Your sight; yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.
As we are in the midst of deep areas, we will turn our eyes to the Lord. Our focus will not be on the things going on here below, but on the things above. After we have been refined in our deep places, we will go forth as gold to be used of the Lord!
